	With eyes that are better than many binoculars, vultures can see animal up to 1.6 kilometers ( one maile ) away !!

That��s what many people say about vultures, because they prefer to eat carrion. Most vultures don��t have very strong talons and beaks only a few species can break through the hides of largest animals. Although some vultures can hurt small animals as well, scavenge mostly want for decay to soften a carcass or for another predator to kill an animal and rip open it��s body.

Many vultures have bald face or heads. This is a convenient feature that allows those big birds to stick their feather all dirty. After all, it��s pretty hard for a bird to wash its face.

By human standards most vultures are pretty ugly. But among birds, vultures can be considered the most handsome birds of all.

Many vultures are both predator and scavengers. They kill smaller animals like rodents and baby birds. If carrion isn��t available, but they��d much prefer to find their prey which is already dead and some types of vultures group together to drive even large predator like Hyenas away from being a prey.
